2024 Kids Bouncing around the Happy Oak Farm!

Lots of little kids bouncing and jumping around, always under the watchful eye of our LGDs. Pictured here is our anatolian- Andi.

We’re thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our 2024 kidding season here in Central Michigan, welcoming a total of 13 adorable kids! Take a look at our delightful 2024 ADGA Nigerian Dwarf Goat kids below. Please note that all kids will be, or have been, disbudded in accordance with 4-H and showing arena regulations, unless otherwise requested within the first 7 days of age. These charming and healthy kids will be ready for their new homes at 8 weeks old, around the first week of June, and will come up to date on their vaccinations. Additionally, we will submit DNA to the ADGA for any show or breeding quality bucklings at our expense. Rest assured, our goats receive daily interaction from our young human children and are under the constant watchful care of our two LGDs who let them bounce all over them, ensuring they are all exceptionally friendly and well-socialized.

Our closed herd is tested yearly and is negative for CAE/OPPV and Johne’s. We test through a USDA approved lab (https://ubrl.org/). Last test was 03/2024. All our registered goats will have ear-tattoos that correspond to their ADGA paperwork. However, in our experience, those tattoos can be hard to read on dark ears. So please let us know if you intend to show them in 4-H and we can ear tag them with a scrapie tag for you as well.

Update 4/25/24: All kids have found new farms!
